Baseball: The game and Fundamentals

Baseball is a game played with nine players on the field and one batter at a time. The pitcher one whom stands on a mound between first, second, and third base throws the ball to the fourth base known as home plate. The batter can choose to swing at the ball in attempt to hit the ball far but away from the players if a player catches a hit ball without it touching the ground it counts as an out. If the batter chooses to not swing and the ball goes over the plate between his knees and chest it is strike if it goes elsewhere it is a ball but if it hits you, you get to take first base with a "hit by pitch" or a "bean"
Hitting the ball out of the park that doesn't cross the "foul line" it is a home run and all players on base go home including the batter. If its hit behind the foul line before bouncing at least once past third or first base it is a "foul" and counts as a strike, once at 3 strikes you are out via strikeout but it is not a strike out if foul a foul ball tops you out at two strikes. If you get 4 balls you get a "walk" which advances you to first base and if anyone on first base they advance and so forth. When a ball is hit on the ground and stopped/caught by a player in the infield they can throw it to first base if there is no one on any other base and all the first baseman has to do is touch the base because the batter has to run when he hits it. When ever a player has to run which usually means a grounder this is a force and you only have to touch the base they are running to with the ball in hand. If a player runs without having a force such as a ball being hit to second base with a player on second and no one of first he doesn't have to run but if he does he can go back to the base and there is no force meaning he has to be tagged by the player with the balls mitt.

Baseball is played in nine innings the team with the most points or "runs" wins although in even of a tie the game continues in extra innings until at the end of an inning.
